Great News–and APPRECIATION! GreenTree is stepping into its future with a new location, expanded responses to community need, and a new Director, though the Peer Team and the program founder are still moving forward together to offer a supported peer community space, the Learning Community, the Nexus Substance Use Recovery Support, and the Refuge Crisis Support Program!

We thank the following organizations for respecting the importance of our peer support work and for graciously supporting GreenTree’s growth and for the expansion of our work in the local community: Forsyth County Government, the NC Division of Mental Health, Developmental Disabilities, and Substance Use Services, the Winston-Salem Foundation and the Cannon Foundation.

HIGHLIGHTS

  • Free mental wellness support
  • No appointment needed–just walk in and be welcomed!
  • Individual and group settings

Hope GROWS Here!

The GreenTree Peer Support Program is a peer-operated wellness center dedicated to empowering individuals to lead more fulfilling lives through peer support, self-help education, and meaningful social connections. All of our staff have experienced disruptive challenges related to trauma, mental health, substance use, or neurodiversity. We “get it” because we have walked and recovered our lives from these challenges!

It is a non-profit organization that is free to the community and welcomes drop-in visits; no appointments required. We offer individual support as well as scheduled activities and meetings. Learn about our offerings below–maybe we can share your path to well-being!
